Our Year 6 French pupils have been mastering structures and vocabulary on the theme of “Where I live.” 🏡 They’ve been combining countries, weather, and cardinal points in a game of 'Mastermind' — testing their knowledge and teamwork along the way. 🎯 Bravo, les garçons ! 👏🇫🇷

🎉 Exciting Adventures for Years 1 and 2! 🏰🕰️ Pupils in Years 1 and 2 had an incredible experience thanks to the generous support of Thetford Educational Foundation Trust, who fully funded two unforgettable days out! ✨ Year 2 pupils explored the newly opened Castle Keep in Norwich, learned about the historical significance of Thetford Castle, and enjoyed a fascinating visit to the Ancient House Museum. The children had an amazing time discovering what life was like in the past through engaging workshops and hands-on learning. A huge thank you to everyone who made these enriching experiences possible!

🌾 Harvest Assembly Highlights 🌾 Our Harvest Assembly was a joyful celebration of community, creativity, and gratitude. Pupils across the Prep School took great pride in their performances, showcasing the enthusiasm and effort they had poured into preparing for the occasion. 🎉 The event opened with a vibrant bhangra celebration, complete with ribbons and dance, setting a lively tone for the afternoon. 🎶 This was followed by heartfelt harvest songs, including standout moments from our talented soloists whose confidence truly impressed. 📖 Thoughtful readings reminded us of the importance of thankfulness and sharing. 🎭 Year 7’s expressive physical theatre performance beautifully brought the spirit of the harvest to life. It was a colourful, uplifting event that reflected the generosity and togetherness of our school community. 👏 A huge well done to everyone involved!

🎉 Team-Building Triumph! 🌲💪 A marvellous time was had by our Year 12 and 13 students during their team-building day at Thorpe Woodlands this term. From high ropes to group challenges, they threw themselves into every activity with enthusiasm and courage. 💥 It was fantastic to see them stepping out of their comfort zones, supporting one another, and showing true resilience—especially when faced with some seriously high obstacles! 👏 #TeamTGS #SixthFormSpirit #ThorpeWoodlands #ChallengeAccepted #ResilienceInAction

🧸 Pupils in Year 1 had a very exciting visit to the Ancient Museum recently. As part of their topic about Toys, they spent time investigating a range of old and new toys. They also learnt to play traditional parlour games, street games and they all made a thaumatrope to bring back to school!

☀️That’s a wrap on our Prep Summer residential 2025. We’ve had an absolute blast! Many happy memories made that we will treasure forever. Well done Prep school, you did us all proud! 🏆
