✨ What a fantastic way to end the term at Thetford Grammar School! ✨ The past few weeks have been bursting with festive fun and unforgettable moments – from magical pantomime trips and lively house activities, Christmas Shows to the buzz of our Christmas Fayre and the joy of our beautiful Carol concerts. 🎭🎄🎶 It’s been a whirlwind of laughter, creativity and community spirit, making this the perfect close to a wonderful term. Thank you to everyone who helped make it so special – students, staff and families alike. What a way to finish the year! 🌟

✨ A wonderful Friends of Thetford Grammar School Social Morning! ✨ We recently enjoyed a super festive Christmas calligraphy workshop with the amazing @clarewarrencalligraphy. Some of our younger pupils even popped in to see the beautiful writing and gift tags being created with the “special pens and ink” — their excitement was priceless! We are so lucky to have such a fantastic community of parents, families, and friends supporting TGS through Friends of TGS. Today we invited our 11+ scholars to Scholar’s Brunch. Pupils proudly showcased the incredible range of scholarly activities they have been involved in — both inside and outside of school. From scuba diving adventures to museum explorations, academic competitions and even the successful achievement of a grade 9 at early GCSE entry, our Scholars demonstrated an inspiring commitment to curiosity and challenge. Students brought along medals, certificates, project work and photographs of themselves in action — a true display of passion, hard work and dedication. Staff were thoroughly impressed by the variety and ambition of our scholars’ pursuits — a huge well done to everyone who took part! Our Year 6 French pupils have been mastering structures and vocabulary on the theme of “Where I live.” 🏡 They’ve been combining countries, weather, and cardinal points in a game of 'Mastermind' — testing their knowledge and teamwork along the way. 🎯 Bravo, les garçons ! 👏🇫🇷

🎉 Exciting Adventures for Years 1 and 2! 🏰🕰️ Pupils in Years 1 and 2 had an incredible experience thanks to the generous support of Thetford Educational Foundation Trust, who fully funded two unforgettable days out! ✨ Year 2 pupils explored the newly opened Castle Keep in Norwich, learned about the historical significance of Thetford Castle, and enjoyed a fascinating visit to the Ancient House Museum. The children had an amazing time discovering what life was like in the past through engaging workshops and hands-on learning. A huge thank you to everyone who made these enriching experiences possible!
