Thursday 28th November will be a day to remember for the pupils who took part in the @gabrielicandp Gabrieli Roar Choir - A Grand Georgian Christmas. Pupils spent a truly inspirational day at Norwich Cathedral, rehearsing a challenging programme of fifteen pieces of 18th Century music with international conductor Paul McCreesh, alongside the Norwich Cathedral choristers and the world-famous Gabrieli Consort & Players and performed in a full concert to a packed out audience in the evening.
The soaring sound of the voices in combination with the orchestra playing authentic and period instruments such as hand horns, serpents, Baroque trumpets and timpani was epic. A truly memorable day for all who went. We can’t wait for the next tour!

This week EYFS have been thinking all about how our different teachers help us, linked to both Thanksgiving and our People Who Help Us topic. The children chose which teacher they would like to thank and worked really hard sounding out the words to finish their sentences. We think their pictures are a very good likeness to our Prep School teachers!

Year 3 were asked to provide a piece of Art based on the theme "Narnia" as part of Thetford's Christmas window trail, they used Mandala inspired artwork to create Aslan, the Lion from Narnia, we named the piece 'Aslan, King of The Beasts'. Well done Year 3!
This year Thetford Town Council’s Christmas theme is Narnia and the festivities are being kicked off with the Narnia Trail (launched Friday 29 November at 6pm at Whitehart Street).

During the half term, five Year 11 students took part in their Silver D of E practice expedition. They had amazing weather and all did well passing the practice expedition with flying colours. Good luck to them in their qualifying expedition which will take place in June after their exams in the Yorkshire Dales.

This morning, EYFS had the pleasure of inviting their parents into the classroom and showing them what they have been up to! The children were so happy to show their parents their work books and spend time with them doing activities.

Our Prep School have been ‘choosing respect’ as their focus for this year’s anti-bullying week. After an assembly by Mrs Butler-Hand to launch the theme, pupils have been involved in a number of activities to promote the importance of taking positive action, promoting kindness and accepting our differences. Odd Sock Day helped us to acknowledge that it is ok to be different and to respectfully embrace this. Thank you to Mrs Hill who worked hard to create our photo board for the week. We had fun being the 'I' in KIND!

Last Friday Year 7 reconstructed the Battle of Hastings at the front of the school using carefully constructed weapons modelled on the period. The result, perhaps unsurprisingly, was a victory for William the Conqueror....

The whole school gathered this morning to pay their respects at this year’s Remembrance Day service, including listening to the names of pupils and old boys who fought in World War 1 and World War 2. Lest We Forget.
